What is domestic and foreign trademark registration support?

  • Just as a trademark must be registered in accordance with the procedures stipulated by the domestic trademark law in order to be protected in Korea, in order to receive trademark protection in a foreign country, it is necessary to apply for and register a trademark in accordance with the laws and procedures of each country. How to apply for a trademark differs depending on the country in which you wish to obtain a trademark registration.

What is foreign customs crackdown on counterfeit goods?

  • TIPA designates a local agent to support crackdowns when items suspected of infringing Korean branded products are discovered during import clearance at foreign customs.
    * The local agent notifies the applicant for protection in Korea of ​​the discovery of suspected infringing products, and acts on behalf of the applicant and the foreign customs office, such as the identification of counterfeit goods.
